Identity RecordsWhile Journey takes a planned hiatus for most of 2019, keyboardist/songwriter Jonathan Cain is preparing to put out an as-yet-untitled new collection of spiritual tunes on May 3.

In advance of the album, Cain will release a single called “More Like Jesus” digitally and via streaming services on Friday, March 22.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer wrote the uplifting tune in response to asking himself what he should pray for, and what he decided his New Year’s resolution would be for 2018. You can check out a lyric video for the song at Cain’s official YouTube channel.

The clip features footage of Jonathan performing the tune onstage, interspersed with scenes of young people dancing and celebrating in various places.

Cain recorded the track at his Addiction Sound Studios in Nashville. More details about his forthcoming album, including its title and track list, will be unveiled soon.

In other news, Journey has debuted a preview clip from its recently announced concert video, Live in Japan 2017: Escape + Frontiers, which will be released on March 29.
