The Cass County Sheriff’s Department says a Niles man is facing charges following an investigation into crimes involving children.

The department says it executed a search warrant at an address in Lake Street in Cass County’s Howard Township on Sunday, resulting in the arrest of 38-year-old Stephen Frank Gill. It says it also collected criminal evidence at the address.

Gill is now charged with accosting children for immoral purposes, using a computer to commit a crime, and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Cass County Jail with bond set at $50,000.

The sheriff’s department says the case remains under investigation, and it asks anyone with information on it to contact them.
