South Haven’s Dyckman Bridge is back open and will resume regular off-season operations.
Earlier this month, the city temporarily closed the bridge for its annual maintenance, which involved reinforcing the underwater structures with riprap. The city announced on Tuesday that this work has been completed ahead of schedule, allowing the bridge to return to normal traffic.
Effective April 7, the Dyckman Avenue Bascule Bridge will operate as follows: from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the hour and half-hour, Monday through Sunday.
Starting May 2, the operating hours will change to Sunday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., and from 6 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.
